Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City

Welcome to Vietnam! A land of unique culture and stunning natural beauty. Upon your arrival, your local tour guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel via private car. Take some time to check-in and relax to refresh after your long international flight. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, where you can savor local dishes and get your first impression of Vietnam. Spend the night in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 2: Full Day Visit to Cao Dai Temple & Explore Cu Chi Tunnels

Drive through the typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province in the west of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Cao Dai Great Temple in Tay Ninh, which was built in 1933 and showcases a unique architectural style that reflects blended traditions. Cao Dai is a unique religion that combines elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and Christianity, with the three principal colors of yellow, blue, and red representing these religions. You can see these colors in worshippers’ robes as well as the temple itself.

In the afternoon, continue to explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. It was a self-contained underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers. At times, it housed up to 10,000 people who lived underground for years, getting married, giving birth, and conducting their daily lives in this subterranean world. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Explore the Mekong Delta – Transfer to Vinh Long & Can Tho

Welcome to your next adventure in the stunning Mekong Delta. You will be transferred to Vinh Long, a province in southern Vietnam located in the Mekong River Delta. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat trip to the colorful Cai Be floating market, where you can witness the bustling trading activities of local traders exchanging various agricultural products from boat to boat. Visit a local factory to learn how traditional products such as pop rice, pop corn, rice paper, and coconut candies are made, and taste them served with hot green tea. Afterward, take a boat excursion to An Binh Island, where you can enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery and experience the typical life of the region along the Mekong River.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, take a leisurely stroll along the narrow canals before driving to Can Tho. This city is the largest city in the Mekong Delta and is known for its floating market, rice paper-making village, and picturesque rural canals. In the evening, take a stroll around the night market in downtown Can Tho before settling in for the night.

Day 4: Cai Rang Floating Market and Return to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam tour)

Rise early to take a boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market, one of the three biggest markets in the Mekong Delta. The market is bustling with boats of different sizes and shops selling a wide variety of products. It’s busiest from sunrise until about 9 am. Enjoy watching the vibrant activity along the Can Tho riverbank before heading back to the shore to visit the Binh Thuy Ancient House, a rare and perfect example of the character of the Mekong Delta. The house has an interesting combination of Vietnamese and French design, and the garden boasts a variety of flowers and fruits, including a wide range of orchids and a record cactus. The house has also been used as a location for filming, including the famous French movie “L’Amant” directed by J.J Annaud.

After the tour, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon, check into the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh city  – Fly to Da Nang. (Vietnam tour)

You will visit several landmarks such as the Reunification Palace, War Museum, City Hall, Ho Chi Minh Monument, Central Post Office, and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also have time to explore the Ben Thanh Market for souvenir shopping. After lunch, you will fly to Danang, one of Vietnam’s major port cities, and then transfer to Hoian ancient town for the night.

Day 6: Hoian – My Son Holy Land (Vietnam tour)

You will have a walking tour of Hoian and see the Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, Tan Ky old house, and local market. You can also visit art galleries and tailor shops for made-to-order clothes. In the afternoon, you will take a car trip to My Son Holy Land, which contains a cluster of abandoned Hindu Temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD. Afterward, you will return to Hoi An for the night.

Day 7: Hoian – Free day at the beaches(Vietnam tour)

A free day for leisure in Hoi An, where you can choose to explore more history and culture with extra excursions such as cooking classes, cycling tours, or boat trips on the Thu Bon river. Contact your guide to arrange these activities.

Day 8: Hoian –  Ancient Hue capital (Vietnam tour)

Visit the ancient Hue capital via Danang beach city and visit Marble Mountain. Once you arrive in Hue, you will visit the Imperial Citadel, which has three perimeters of ramparts. You will also visit King Tu Duc’s tomb and King Khai Dinh’s tomb, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Dong Ba market before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 9: Hue – Phong Nha national park – Thien Duong Cave (Vietnam tour)

Trip to Dong Hoi city and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site located 50 km north of Dong Hoi city. You will visit the historic Hien Luong Bridge over the Ben Hai River, which served as a border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. Afterward, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and explore Thien Duong Cave in World Natural Heritage – National Park Phong Nha Ke Bang, known as “Heaven in the world” or “Underground Palace.” The cave contains a system of magnificent stalagmites and stalactites. After spending three hours discovering the caves, you will drive back to Dong Hoi city for the night.

Day 10: Quang Binh – Flight to Hanoi (Vietnam tour)
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before we transfer you to Dong Hoi airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, we will pick you up and take you to your hotel for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university built in 1070 to honor Confucius, his followers, and Chu Van An, a moral figure in Vietnamese education. From there, you can explore the Vietnam Fine Arts or Vietnamese Women’s Museum before visiting Ngoc Son Temple, located at the northern end of Restored Sword Lake. Admire the temple’s buildings, including the Pen Tower, ink-slab, Moon Contemplation Pavilion, and Pavilion against Waves, all of which have symbolic meaning. Afterward, enjoy a water puppet show, a unique Vietnamese variation on the ancient Asian puppet tradition. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 11: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise – Overnight on Board
We will drive east for about 3.5 hours to Halong Bay, where you will board a deluxe cruise and check into your cabin. Enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon and evening participating in various activities, such as swimming, rowing boat, kayaking, cooking demonstrations, gala dinner, and board games. Spend the night on board the deluxe cruise.

Day 12: Halong Bay – Hanoi
Start your day with a Taichi session, followed by a visit to the Amazing Caves before heading back to the dock. Enjoy brunch before checking out and driving back to Hanoi. After checking in at your hotel, you can explore Hanoi or take an optional street food tour.

Day 13: Hanoi City Tour – Departure (Vietnam tour)
Depending on your departure flight, we will arrange for a morning city tour of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, Ethnic Minority Museum, and shopping at Hanoi’s Old Quarter, or you can have free time until your departure flight home.
