Hang Thoong Cave (also known as Thoong Cave) is a natural cave system located in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It is part of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Exploring Hang Thoong Cave requires a guided tour, as the cave system can be dangerous and difficult to navigate without proper equipment and knowledge. Visitors to the cave can expect to see a range of natural wonders, including underground lakes and waterfalls, towering rock formations, and even bioluminescent insects.

🗓Day 1 : Hanoi – Quang Binh
21:00 Travel from Hanoi to Quang Binh by sleeping bus
🗓Day 2 : Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hung cave
8:00 Pick up for briefing at Jungle Boss Headquarter
8:30 Depart for Hung Thoong Exploration along Road 20 Victory
9:00 Start trekking through dense jungle to reach Hung Thoong
10:30 Stop by Nightmare sinkhole which is 250 m deep
11:00 Continue trekking to Nuoc Lan base camp
12: 00 Picnic lunch on the trails
13:00 Reach Nuoc Lan basecamp
14:00 – 17:00 Explore Hung cave and Tron cave. Swim 1,2km into Tron cave
17:00 Prepare campsite by Nuoc Lan lake
18:00 – 21 Enjoy jungle dinner at basecamp
🗓Day 3 : Nuoc Lan basecamp – hung Thoong Spring – Thung cave – Nuoc Lan basecamp
8: 00 Breakfast at basecamp
9:00 – 11:00 Trekking along hung Thoong
11:30 Reach hung Thong Spring, relax, swim and luch at hung Thoong Spring
13:00 – 15:30 Explore Thung cave
15:00 – 16:30 Trek to Nuoc Lan basecamp
17:00 Camp at Nuoc Lan lake
17:00 – 18:00 Swim at the lake in Nuoc Lan basecamp
18:00 – 21:00 Enjoy dinner with our local team at campsite
🗓Day 4 : Nuoc Lan lake – Ma Da lake – Ho Chi Minh road
8:00 Breakfast at Nuoc Lan basecamp
9:00 Trekking through the jungle to get Ma Da valley
12:00 Arrive at Ma Da lake for lunch and swim at the lake
13: 30 Start trekking to Ho Chi Minh road
15: 00 Arrive at Ho Chi Minh road, jumgle Boss bus picks you up and transfer to jungle Boss Headquarter. Having dinner and traveling to Hanoi.
📝Note: What to bring
– Two sets of long trousers and long -sleeved-shirt to avoid poison ivies and mosquitoes
– Two sets of changing clothes for the nights at basecamp
– Swim wear
– Two pairs of long socks
– Small backpack
– Sandals or flip-flops and extra clothes
– Dry bag (optional)
– Hiking shoes (optional) or can borrow from Jungle Boss
– Hat, sunglasses, sunscreem, insect repellent, toothpaste, tooth brusher
